The Library  will accept one (1) donated copy of any self-published work by an author living in New Hanover, Pender, or Brunswick Counties, within 12 months of the book's publication. If the work is selected to be added to the collection it will be housed at the Main Library on the Local Author Collection Shelf.

The Library also hosts Cape Fear Book Festival annually in November. This is a two-day event of workshops for authors and opportunities for book sale and signing tables. Please see the Cape Fear Book Festival link under our Events Page for more information.
